My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to engage actively with the material and with each other.

I believe that clear communication, well-structured course content, and consistent feedback are key to student success. I strive to challenge my students to think critically and to apply their knowledge to real-world issues. By fostering open dialogue and encouraging diverse perspectives, I aim to create a classroom that is both vibrant and intellectually stimulating, where every student feels valued and motivated to succeed.

I am committed to adapting my teaching methods to meet the needs of my students, whether through lectures, interactive group projects, class activities, or structured debates. I believe that learning is most effective when students feel connected to the material and to each other, and I work hard to ensure that my classroom is a space where curiosity is encouraged, and critical thinking is nurtured.

My goal is to not only teach the content but to inspire a lifelong passion for learning and a deep understanding of the importance of active citizenship in a global context.

Global Issues (POLS 2401) Summer, Fall 2024

Welcome to the world! This course introduces you to contemporary issues in international politics and is designed for those who do not have significant prior knowledge of international affairs. We examine some of the most pressing political, security, economic, and social challenges facing the United States and the international community, such as turmoil across the Middle East and Europe, weapons proliferation, poverty and economic development, the rise of China, population growth, climate change, and global pandemics. Can we solve the challenges we face and build a better world? The idea is to introduce the actors, issues and processes so that you can develop and articulate informed views on them and start thinking about possible solutions.

This course presents theoretical, analytical, and factual knowledge of political science and the fields of political science - comparative politics and international relations. Alongside the teaching of political content and theories, this course also trains you to use the learning skills of critical thinking, writing, and speaking.
